Hello Central Cubs! My name is Luz Soto-Dimas, Principal for Central Elementary.

I became a cub in August 2018. I am a passionate educator and love each and every experience that comes our way. I myself am a product of public education. I attended Carrollton Farmers Branch schools; McLoughlin Elementary and Vivian Field Middle School. I have two girls, Sofia and Iliana. Sofia attends R. L. Turner and Iliana attended and graduated from Newman Smith HS. As a parent I have seen the great opportunities that our district provides to all students. I am married to an amazing husband of twenty-three years! I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, watching movies and exercising.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Bilingual Education from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas, and a master’s degree in Administration in Education from Southern Methodist University.

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD has been my professional home for twenty years. I have served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. I taught 1st grade bilingual, 2nd grade bilingual and monolingual, 5th grade all at Farmers Branch Elementary, as well as taught summer school ten years for PK and Kinder. I had the pleasure of being the Assistant Principal at Dale B. Davis Elementary for three years.

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD is an extraordinary district that goes above and beyond to serve all our students, families, and the community. We at Central Elementary are committed to serving all our students.
